Hi all - new here to aquaria central.
I have a question regarding dwarf gourami and breeding. I have a 75 gallon tank, completely cycled, live plants and driftwood. Have added 4 zebra danios and 3 dwarf gourami - 2female, 1male. At first the gourami were really passive. Now the male chases and nips at the females like there is no tomorrow. I think they are trying to breed. The male has collected a very small amount of bubbles at the top along with a few roots he's pulled off plants. So my questions are:
- Is this in fact breeding?
- Can I stop it? If so, how? If not, then what?
- Since there is very few bubbles is it possible the breeding was interrupted? If so, is this a problem?
- Will the male stop being aggressive to the females once the breeding period is over?
Sorry I know so many questions, but they were doing so well, now the aggression is starting to concern me. Help!!
