Hi all - new here to aquaria central.
I have a question regarding dwarf gourami and breeding. I have a 75 gallon tank, completely cycled, live plants and driftwood. Have added 4 zebra danios and 3 dwarf gourami - 2female, 1male. At first the gourami were really passive. Now the male chases and nips at the females like there is no tomorrow. I think they are trying to breed. The male has collected a very small amount of bubbles at the top along with a few roots he's pulled off plants. So my questions are:
- Is this in fact breeding?
- Can I stop it? If so, how? If not, then what?
- Since there is very few bubbles is it possible the breeding was interrupted? If so, is this a problem?
- Will the male stop being aggressive to the females once the breeding period is over?
Sorry I know so many questions, but they were doing so well, now the aggression is starting to concern me. Help!!

i would let them do their thing. it wont take much effort to attemp the task.

like with bettas if you put a styrofoam cup in the tank cut in half with the bottom taken off he will blow bubbles in that. then there will be less risk of fungus. once they lay the eggs you can get a net type breeder and just move the net from underneath to around the egg nest and leave it for a few days.

let me know how it works out
