price question

I've never bought from him personally, but I do know someone that has been to his place and bought some stuff from him. His frags really are as nice as they appear and I've been told he's a reasonably nice person to deal with. As for prices, well that kind of depends on one's perspective. I've seen frags from there that I'd gladly buy for those prices, but others that I couldn't justify spending the money on. I guess it depends on what you like and how good the corals are that you can get your hands on locally from LFSs and other hobbyists.

All depends how much $ you want to spend. Frags are the most common way to buy corals and you get to watch them grow yourself, something that to me is 1/2 the fun. Then there are others who have a ton of $ and don't really care about the tank at all, just pay someone else to care for it, those people would be the types that drop $5000 on a large colony of a coral instead of a frag simply because they want their reef tank complete NOW and don't want to wait for things to grow out.

well that's not me, I've got a wife & 2 young children. I have been looking at some items on line and just noticed a lot of frags and was just wondering about them. Do they need to be placed lower in the tank from flow and lighting that the older corals? Thanks

Joe, I started my old 120 with all frags and once they grew they filled the tank. With the right setup they grow rather fast .

I prefer to start with frags... More fun to watch them grow. Colonies can cost a whole lot more and it's typically harder to find nice large colonies than it is to find frags.

Off subject but fsn and I are at the same post count as of right now . Sorry Joe.

oops. I am ahead :) Close anyways

If jumping ahead bothers you, I can always delete a few of your posts and fix that for you! j/k :silly:
