price question

My system was so extreme that I could not keep the condo cool , we were threatened by alot of hurricanes and if I didn't shut down the reef when I did Hurricane Wilma would have ended it and it would have been a mess at the wrong time. When I did dismantle it , it took me 2 days .
I also worried about flooding all the time with all the sumps and fuges.
 
So, you don't have to worry about Hurricanes and flooding with a fresh water tank. ;)

Joe, I started my old 120 with all frags and once they grew they filled the tank. With the right setup they grow rather fast .

Very nice! This is the kind of tank I like to see--a few species of dominant, very large corals. That's just like what you'd see on a reef. You should be very proud of that! Would you mind starting a thread detailing that past setup? I'm really interested in hearing about it, but I don't want to derail this thread.
 
that is a real nice tank and a thread on it would be nice. Also this thread can't be derailed, our wheels are locked firmly onto the rails.

I photo documented most of my stuff on a video camera before I had a digital camera. I have hours of video. Before I had a computer I had webtv and with that I was able to post pics and I had a web page. I do miss being able to post those pics, you would probably drop your jaw if you saw the stuff I put together . I watch the vids sometimes and am somewhat sad that it's in the past.

Joe, when I tore down the reef and set it up with fresh water we had Hurricane Wilma not to long after that. The tank had plastic plants and a few fish and they made it 5 days without power. If it was still the reef I'm sure I would have had a mess on my hands.
 
I loved my Queen Angels. I had several over the years. When I tore the tank down I brought this one to the Barrier Reef LFS in Boca Raton.
