Hi all.. any help anyone can give would help! I have a 77 gallon cichlid tank and experienced yesterday many many power surges, which has shut down my filter. I need to prime it, but I am unsure how to do it. I want to see if there are parts that are fried. I'm working on a time line here with my cichlids! :help:

There is a big round button on the top of the filter- about a 3 -4 inch diameter. With both the intake and the spraybar under water, pressing it will prime the pump.

I have found that if one is servicing the filter and has closed off the hoses with water still in them, upon reconnecting the hoses, gravity will do the filling. The priming button is more for use with the the initial setup or when the hoses are empty.

You press the big button on top that says push to prime. It's really quite self explanitary.

it doesnt say it on the button but all it takes is pushing in the big round top button down.
