Primitive rabbit snail giving birth

Mine don't seem to eat plants either. Perhaps they'll only go after certain plants, or maybe it's just a hunger thing.

BTW, the so-called Primitive rabbit snail (Celetaia persculpta) isn't a Rabbit snail at all, it's in the Viviparidae family.

I imported them, as well as all the other nerites and rabbits i have. Only 20 of these guys came in and a few were DOA. I am not sure of their habits yet as I just got them in this morning. Most of the rabbit snails are rumored to eat plants but I have yet to see that behavior in my tanks despite them being planted. I do feed them zucchini every other day.
They couldn't possibly eat any more plants than my SAE's already do! LOL!

NICE pics. Good luck with them.

Cool looking!

Wow... last time I saw a live birth I was cleaning merconium up for the next 12 hours... Do baby snails produce merconium?

Sweet! You may just get me liking snails yet. I'm not quite there though.
