I was given 2 skkimmmers, the first one isnt working out that great so I tried the Prizm. Seemed to work fine in a tub I made to check it out. Then I out it in the tank and all of a sudden the water intake just started to suck up so much water it was overflowing. I changed the gauge on the inlet so it would only take so much water but it still was happening. Any suggestions?

that is also what mine does, As long as it skims and dosnt run on the floor, I wouldnt worry too much about it

sounds like its not sucking enough air in with the water. Make sure the air tube isnt submerged under the water and if so thats your problem.

Also, on the air side of it, make sure it is not still on the blocked off barp connection on the collection cup. You have to move it to the other barb which allow air to be sucked in from the cup...

I did have the same problems with mine for days, but i gave it a good scrub with wam soapy water, washed with clean water to remove the manufactured coating on the plastic, then about 5 hours later it was working as it should do ( well, as good as its going to for a prizm skimmer anyways )..

Needless to say, i binned mine eventually..
