I have no idea what the hell is going on! I have a 55G with 2.5 WPG, CO2 about 1 bubble every 2 to 3 seconds, I add dry ferts once a week, and I do weekly 40% water changes. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. There are so many little green pieces of algea floating aroun in my water and it's attaching itself to all the plants i my tank. I did a 40% water change today and it really didn't go away. I have no clue what to do. I think that it may be a good idea to go to 4 WPG instead of 2.5.

I just need some help with this. Everything was great and all my plants were growing great and looked great. Could it have been that I moved all my plants last weekend to do a gravel vac to collect the crap? Could it be that my plants aren't as astablished as they were?

Any help would be great. I/m also running two 60G filters and the temp is 80F

It wouldn't be a good idea to go to 4 WPG, you would just make your problem worse. You are dosing once a week, do you know your nutrient levels before your water change so you know if you have been adding enough? It seems like one of your nutrients is bottoming out.

Also 1 bubble every 2 or 3 seconds seems too low but every setup is different. Maybe get a drop checker or let some tank water sit out for a day and measure your pH difference to see how close to 30 ppm you are.

I only run slightly over 2.5wpg and thats with flourescent tubes and a white painted hood (no other reflector) in order to keep algae at bay I had to start dosing EI (daily) and run about 3BPS to get the co2 up near 30 (think its still a little under though). Before, it was an algae disaster. Now, the algae almost completely gone.

How many plants do you have? Just a few or is your tank full of plants? Are they low light easier plants or more demanding plants? There are a lot of variables that might change what your best course of action is.

It's heavy planted. I have amazon swords, java fern, Brown Wendtii Crypt, tape grass(vals), baby tears, Rotala rotundifolia, Red Ludwigia, Creeping Red Ludwigia, Water Wisteria, moneywort, pearl weed, any of the same plant together.
