Hi everyone this is my first post here. Yesterday I bought two Tiger Barbs and two Albino Barbs for my 10 gallon tank. OK so at first everyone was going well but soon the two Tiger's and one of the Albino's started swimming together and left the other Albino all by himself at the opposite end of the tank. When it came time to feed them he waited in the plants until the other three fish left to come out and grab some food. Now simple logic says they're probably bullying him, but now I'm starting to worry maybe he's sick. These are my first fish so I wanted to check here before I add anymore fish or take the one Albino out. Oh and the waters pH is 7.2 and the temperature is 78 degress. Thanks.

From what you described, I would also say that he is being bullied. I had the same problem when I first got my tiger barbs. After I added a few more tiger bards, every thing seemed to calm down.

ya i had the same problem too. My bigger tiger barbs chases all the other barbs around..lol im thinking about taking him out.. but for you just add some more, but if you have a 10 gallon tank you may be pushing it..

How long has this tank been set up? Are there any other fish in it? Besides temp and pH, what is you ammonia, nitrite and nitrate count? There are many reasons a fish may hide, not the least of which is that it is sick. Also, Tige Barbs usually do much better in larger schools, but you will be hard pressed to give them an adequate sized school safely in a ten gallon tank. Get back with these numbers and maybe we can figure this one out. :)

Hm i'm going to go out and get a test kit for amonia soon but i have one more question. How many more tiger barbs could I safetly keep in my 10 gallon tank. Thanks.
