was wondering if anyone would have some advice. my solenoid doesn't turn off on its own all the time, seems to turn off half the time. I have it with the same timer as my lights, which turn off and on just fine. Even with no power it will still continue to run. Any ideas? is it possibly going out, its only a year old. Thanks! :)

It's a solenoid valve in your co2 system? Is it designed to open when energized or de-energized? If it opens when energized, the spring that shuts it may be wearing out.

Yes for my co2 system. It opens with power. Is there spring replacements? any idea how i would find out?
Thanks!

The owner's manual. I've worked with several solenoid valves, and they are all pretty easy to replace the spring, but it depends on how it's built. If you put it so that the spring is on top, it should shut more frequently now, and the new spring should last much longer.

Check to make sure water didn't get in there. Just a little bit will make it screwy until it's all dried out.

:iagree: That's a good point. Also, if water got in there, check to make sure the slug and cylinder are not corroded. You might have to polish them up.

First things first, you need to find instructions for dissassembly, and take it apart to see what is wrong.

Also solenoids cant get dirt or debris in them that prevents it from shutting off.

Quite easy to fix, close the tank valve, vent the pressure in the regulator, then remove the needle valve. Then while the solenoid is plugged in, a couple of short burst of CO2, should dislodge any dirt in the solenoid.
