A biotope is like a regional habitat. Most of my tanks are biotope specific, i.e. all the fish and plants in the tank are found in the same general region in the world (angelfish, tetras, vallisneria, cories - amazonian biotope), and I try to keep the decor and water params similar as well.
As far as gouramis go, I'd like to try a bunch of different ones. Its a large tank and should have lots of plant/driftwood cover, so I'm hoping I can keep aggression issues down. Blues, golds, opalines, snakeskin, paradise, maybe even some dwarfs depending on whether or not I can find some healthy-enough looking ones.
yea the ones around me are pooor as pooo. there so poor they cant pay attention. Always dull and on the bottom or not moving for mins on end. 11.00 for a dwarf too! and about 8-15 for the regular sized ones depending on size at the store.
Yeah, well I can get good shots with my Canon, but its a film camera. Our digital camera doesn't go to a fast enough film speed to get decent shots in relatively dim light. Just gotta keep trying and hope I get lucky I guess.
Very nice sploke, last i checked you were still in the planning stages.
The fish room looks like the back of my entertainment center, wires everywhere. But the way I figure it, as long as I know whats going on it doesn't matter
Are you going to post picture when its 100% done? not just the wall but the whole room how you had it planned? I realize it might be a while but would be nice to see the whole entire room done so we can drool etc.
