Yeah I woke up to a nice mess and all my power off this morning :o

The deal was that, on my 55, there is a HOB overflow to drain to the sump. I built Hofer gurgle busters to keep the drain noise down. the problem with the deign of them is that they catch snails like crazy. I was pulling it out and shaking the snails out once or twice a week to keep it from getting stopped up. So, I just put a few pieces of sponge in the overflow to keep snails from going through. It works really well, I just pull it out and rinse it at water changes. Unfortunately, I missed my regular water change day last weekend so I didn't get to it. That, coupled with the calophora algae problem that has been plagueing that tank, the tank just overflowed. Luckily most of the water drained into the 150 below it (which is not on the main system) so there wasn't too much mess, but enough dripped onto the power strip that it tripped the GFCI and everything turned off. The power was only off for about 5 hours, and I got everything started up fine this morning, so I'm not too worried about it, just something I need to keep an eye on. Hopefully with the fert dosing routine I'm going to be starting soon, the plants will start outcompeting the clado and it won't be as much of an issue.

And, I replaced the Mag7 on the oscar tank with a mag9.5. I like it a lot better. As soon as I pick up one more overflow box, the second 150 will use that and the mag7 to get onto the main sump.
