Sweet wish I had a 60" tv, so jealous, Girlfriends dad is working on getting a 108" flatscreen.

Oh, I had made a separate thread about that, but I forgot to post it in here. Unfortunately, the snapping turtle died a few months ago - I have no idea why, my best guess is that she got greedy and choked on a crayfish or something. Thats the only thing I could think of, as she was swimming and eating fine one day and dead the next. The plan as of now is to turn the plywood tank into a FOWLR sw tank so I can move my GSP down there, and get some other larger SW fish, and get another mudskipper for the 75 brackish. The first step is getting some new epoxy so I can change the color of the tank from the greenish brown to (hopefully) a bluish tint, which I think will be more suitable to SW.

Sound like a good plan, sorry to hear about your snapper though. I think choking is a good explenation maybe on a rock or something though I don't know about a crawdad, but the claws could have caused a problem. Who knows atleast it was swift.

this is one i took a couple months ago on my last visit before i moved cross-country. you'll notice that the 150 on the left has matured nicely, and the turtle tank on the lower right is now empty

took a while to drain, even with a pump.

Too bad your wife is particular as I have a sleeper/sofa that I no longer need. With all the kids gone, I have finally convinced my wife to let go of all the stuff we kept. It's time to down-size as can no longer help take care of things.
