Project Great Wall o' Tanks

awesome job!!!! what happend to the turtle?:(

Unfortunately, the turtle died last summer...I'm still not sure why, as she seemed perfectly healthy one day and I found her dead 34 hours later. My only guess is that she choked trying to eat a crawfish or something.

Got a bar in there yet?

No, still no bar...we have so many projects going on right now, that one is going to be a while. I need to start a new thread, as I've been working on the plywood tank and its almost ready for paint.

Looks awesome, but I'd hate to be you on cleaning day.

Even with 8 inches, it will be awfully cramped when you need to get in there.

Eh, its not all that bad, I have some long handled tools to help with getting stuff on the bottom of the tanks.

Yeah, but above and beyond the issue of having the space to clean is the amount of time it will take.

Also, plan ahead when it comes to decorations. If you set this up and find that perfect piece of driftwood or rock, or decide you don't like the one you already have, it may be too big to either get into the tank or remove once it's there.

Maybe you missed the middle part of the thread, but this has been built and set up for over a year now...no more planning lol. I do all my fishtank cleaning on Sundays, I can get everything done in about 2 hours (14 tanks). Yes, its pretty much impossible to change around the major points of the decor, but almost all of the display tanks had been set up and running for a year or two before they went into the wall, so I had a good amount of time to get them set up the way I wanted them.
