Propagating Glosso

Not trying to be off-topic but heya BK, do you think glosso and dwarf hairgrass look good mixed? or no, it's better off on one type of foreground

I kinda' thought the same thing (if Pleco rips the glosso out problem is solved). I thought about moving the hairgrass around to the side and the glosso more across the front. I'll give it a few days and see how the glosso does.

GL cfsinc! Mine is growing for me

if you have glosso in the center of the tank and hair grass on the sides or perhaps having hairgrass as one patch beside the glosso might work. but having them together one next to another will look weird since both will criss cross with eachother will look like a mess.

Ditto on the organization - this is my first planted tank and (IMHO) is coming together very nicely. Takes a lot of time and is certainly worth the effort - a great hobby (especially for us obsessive compulsive type).

24 hours and the Jr Pleco has left the glosso alone - crossing my fingers.

My decision may have to come down to planting more glosso across the front and moving the dwarf hair grass off to the side (kind of around beside a piece of drift wood which is covered in java fern to try and separate from the glosso).

Right now I have a patch of glosso, 4 groups of hair grass and some other ground cover that looks like it might be lilaeopsis macloviana. I'll just see what comes together and where to go from here.

Question - can I move the hair grass anytime?

The hair grass has only been planted a couple of days. Do you think BK that if the Pleco is going to tear up the glosso he will do it within the next few days? If it looks like the glosso will be left alone, I will go ahead and move the hair grass and probably rip out the lilaeopsis macloviana.

if he left it alone right now then i guess it should be fine in the next few days. But im sure after a month you are on the safe side since thats when the root structure will take place and will be somewhat hard to get the plant out.

move the hairgrass, shouldnt be a problem. Once you move it see if it needs a trim. Trimming helps it to spread faster.
