In reviewing forum posts it looks like I am to target a C02 ppm of 25 or so. But I'm only at 14 or so and unable to increase it by turning up the bubbles (hey, it sounded like a good idea!). My current KH reading is around 1.5 - 2 and my ph is something like 6.7.
So if I want to increase my CO2 level, I think I need to increase my KH. I have my baking soda (for KH) and epsom salt (for GH) all ready, but I haven't found definitive dosing directions here. I would love some expert advice.
My tank is 135G w/ CO2 injection. My Dallas tap water has a normal KH of 3.
Also, I have some crushed coral available. Is that a better long-term solution for KH?
Thanks all!
