I have a planted tank with some Java moss, Java Fern, floating Hornwort and some other low-light plants I don't know the names of all in a 20 Gal High. I have standard lighting (the one that came with the tank in a kit). Does anybody know how many hours a day I should have the light on in order to maintain these plants without having them growing out of control? The tank does not receive any direct sunlight although there is a window across the room that lets in some light. The tank is also inhabited by some hardy tetras. But I don't think the fish care too much about the light.
