Protect the polar bears from the oil dudes!

Lol holy cow...just for the record a guy at worked asked me to post the link. I saw the title and said ya why not save some bears...lol
I personally am not against drilling but I do believe we should also be working toward alternative means of fuel. Solar, wind, ect.. cleaner and could in the future be cheaper.

I agree with the drilling... the way the oil rigs are up there is no harm to the wildlife.. they have their designated areas and workers arent allowed on the tundra

I know this because my dad works on the rigs

we need that oil-- do you LIKE paying $5 a gallon for gas?

Right.. because "wind" is an effective way to power a car lol

solar same thing--- what if I wanna go somewhere in the dark?

I agree with alternate means of fuel-- but in the meantime we need the oil... and wind sure as hell isnt the solution

90% of that oil is used in cars... electricity has nothing to do with it

Come on people if you are gonna complain at least learn what animals actually live in the area you are trying to protect... I bet those boring old people know that penquins are not in the Arctic because they actually have a brain that they use. Oh and checking your spelling would be nice. I wonder how many of the total sigs are forgien, becasue if you look at the list they are coming in from all over the world makes them invalid as they are not a voting member of the United States.

I say Drill away todays practices have little impact on the land, compared to 20 years ago.

I agree this thread is just waiting to be locked...:evil_lol: figured I would help it along.

Yep, we 'forgien' people have trouble with spelling.

But then again, some of us think that that the world is one inter-connected (and vulnerable) system; and so voting rights in the USA are not the only relevant factor in who has a stake in the question.

Good grammar. BUT, the issue will (sadly enough) be decided by the legislature here and we Americans like to belive that our vote counts more than the big money being funneled into political parties (all of them) by the oil companies.

No most of the engery used in the US is to Make electricity not to run our cars

Does that really matter if the same fuel is used? Doesn't matter why...

your telling me that a majority of the OIL we drill goes to ELECTRICITY????

that is ubsurd... a small fraction of it may

im not talking about ALL energy.. im talking about OIL

I am aware that there are other uses for it.. but its primary use is to make gasoline

and it isnt necessarily true that we will pay the same amount no matter where it comes from... it will become cheaper depending on certain factors (as it has recently)
