I just bought a used AuqaC skimmer, looks like it'll work well. It needs a new pump but I temporarily had it hooked up with a magdrive 3 and it created a good amount of foam and was filling the collection cup nicely. Just ordered a maxi-jet 1200 to use with it.
Only downside to it is the build quality. The overflow out of the skimmer back to the tank was slightly crooked so it was sitting a bit sideways on the back of the tank. I placed a small piece of rubber with adhesive on the one side and its level now. Stuff like that drives me crazy.
Can't wait to get it up and running with the maxijet.
