It only takes about 6 months or less for red cherry shrimp to breed if you buy juvies (around a quarter inch to half of an inch in size). Buy at least 10 juvies and there will be about 5 that will turn out to be females.
looks a little like L.armatica ? Im not sure, give it alot of light , and see if the tops turn
purple/reddish . thier is also a L.macandra that will have a 2 tone green bottom and reddish top, but IMO ~ I think' this looks like L.aromatica . here is a shot of mine ..
