Pseudotropheus saulosi in a 40 gallon??

Alright sweet thanks so much I was starting to get worried, I should be getting fish with in a few weeks I have a lfs 80 miles from me currently looking for some younger sexable P. saulosi for me, he said it would be a few weeks before he would have some good specimens for me =) I can't wait
thanks again!

Hey RD, the problem of having Lab. caeruleus and Ps. saulosi together is that females of both species have the same color (yellow) and then, there is the possibility of crossbreeding between them and possible fights among the males of the 2 species for the yellow females that are with them.

okay sorry about the lack of communication!
the updates so far are that i started cycling with a "assorted African cichlid" from petco, my ammonia, No2, and No3 peaked and are on there way down now, the ammonia is already at 0 again, so it looks like i'll be getting fish anytime now!

Do you know what those assorted Africans are, amigo? What do you plan to do with them after the cycle is completed?

yeah i have no clue what they are, my LFS said he would take them off my hands when i was done, they are really cool looking i wish they wouldnt get so big i would so keep them

Cool they would be great food for my predators.. LOL..

IMHO, you should keep focused on the original plan of doing a Ps. saulosi tank. Remember that your tank is not too big (a 40gal 2 sided corner bowfront).
