I think my son's fish is in need of a shrink. It will sit staring into the plants, may move position but still 98% of the time will be staring at the plants. If another fist swims by it will twitch, sometimes for no reason. I'm thinkin excessive compulsive disorder, if it twitches 4 times one way it will then twitch 4 times the other. Doesn't really matter the count, could be 2 times or could be 7. If it sees another fish comming it will sometimes stuff it's head into the plant so it doesn't see it, social anxiety disorder ? It's funny....sometimes if it gets touched by another fish swimming by it will go nuts swimming pretty fast then bouncing off the sand on it's sides like it's tryin to wipe the touch (cooties) off. This fish is f-ed up. Needs a shrink big time. It is sooo funny because it exhibits traits almost exact to a person with ECD or SAD. I'm thinkin I could dose it with some Paxil or Zoloft mabey some Valium, should set it straight. Makes for good entertainment watching it. Just have to watch for signs of BiPolar disorder.

The clamped fin is just the photo capture. I wish I could do a video, ya have to see it. I swear it's just like a psychological problem. Otherwise he's normal. Eats fine swims fine breaths fine. I've been watching close to see what it does.

It's a 55 gallon , 11 Comets 1"-1.5" , only thing even measurable is nitrite less than .15

He's a Comet as well, tried to get a variety of markings and colors.

expect to be cutting back that population in the future... these guys will all grow to be 10" monsters for sure ;)

as for the original Q... some fish, like some people, are just naturally weird... I woudnl't worry about iut as long as he's eating fine and shows no self-destructive behavior.

This really didn't start as a question, just a laugh at what appears to be a fish with "issues" Physically he or she seems to be healthy, but the emotional part.......

I do have another empty 55 gal tank for the future. Who knows, may trade them in at a later date.
