Puffer Fighting

I have a breeding pair of what I believe are target puffers(pufferpunk , It appears that the male may have bit the female on her upper lip. She is missing a small chunk there. What could I do? Will she heal quickly or what? Please Help!!!

I would add Melafix as soon as possible. How large is the tank? You'll need at least 40gal for them to have enough room to get away from each other. Also, lots of plants, caves, etc., to break up the lines of sight & provide refuge.

They are in a 40 gal. alone. There is one cave that she stays in til eggs are laid. Then he boots her, eats the eggs the next day, and leaves.

Can you move him into another tank after they have spawned? Or better yet, how about a tank divider? Get him his own cave, & fill up the tank with lots of distractions.
