Dwarf Puffers

Can anyone give me any info on the freshwater puffers I got from my lfs? I bought the 6 that came in on the fish shipment but 2 possibly 3 were already sick and on their way out. I have lost 4 so far and have 2 left.....they seem to have this stringy stuff hanging off their bottom back end....thought they were going the bathroom but I guess not? :bowing:

A lot of LFS sell puffers they claim are FW when they are not.
My LFS had my puffer labled as a dwarf puffer (FW) and it is a GSP (FW->BW->SW)

I am pretty sure it is a dwarf puffer. I just shined a flashlight on the one and he has micro spots on him and like a hazy stringy over his eye....it looks like he's peeling....
 
Is this a internal baterial infection? The one looks like its belly is sunken.
 
Has the tank been cycled? 6 puffers in a 3 gallon tank is a massive overload, even for quarantine. Tank parameters? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, temperature? Puffers have little or no resistance to ammonia or nitrite.
 
Unfortuantely, a lot of the dwarves suffer terribly during shipment.... Little Puff is correct, this is more than likely internal parasites. Is either or the survivors looking ok? Have you tried feeding yet?
 
well i lost all my puffers and water was perfect....****
