Pump for my wet dry

I was wondering if i can use a bilge pump for my DIY wet/dry, i can get a good deal on one from princess auto and i'm sure i could find one closer to me for almost the same price

Yes you can if your sump is big enough but most bilge pumps are dc powered so you would need a power supply to run it and i am sure you can get a ac pump for around the same money

I wonder how quite it would be? Dont forget to take into account the pump efficeincy, I mean an efficeint aquarium pump that costs double that could pay for itself in time. Youd have to look at the specs.

Edit> after I looked at the specs I am suprised. 1750gph and only 38W? That sounds a bit over-rated I think. But possibly a good find. But yeah, you need a 12VDC supply for atleast the advertised 3.2A
