Purchasing fish online?

also make sure that the overnight shipping charges dont actually make buying online more expensive than the fish store!

Well, i got my yellowhead jawfish today at Fin's. Apparently he had gotten 6 in, 2 weeks ago, and was quarantining them. He doesnt let on what fish he has in the back so people dont try to put money down on em heh. I dropped by today to get some brine shrimp, and he said, "oh, btw i got a jawfish in". This is my first jawfish, so i dunno how hes supposed to act, and right now i have no idea where he is, guess hes hiding to acclimatize?

Jawfish can be very timid at first. They are also known to Jump from a tank during the first night or two. Once he has what he considers a secure turnel they are fun fish. Needs 3-4 inches of sand as a Min.

a follow up on this :

he died.

errr, the other fish i have in there now are a yellow tang, maroon clown, 2 perc clowns, a blue damsel and a coral banded shrimp. I know I know, they are kinda jumpy fish, and dont like to get picked on, but from the other research i had done, it'd be ok as long as i didnt let them pick on him before he got settled in. He did get settled in actually, went to the bottom left corner, sat there for about 15 mins, and then began to dig his hole. 2 days later he was dead, but i watched him die.... was rather weird actually. His gills flared out, he like, began to convulse, and then he was dead. Nothing been picking on him, i was watching him closely. Did tests on water, everything was in check so im not quite sure what happened.
