I have been reading a lot about Purigen in saltwater tanks, and have used it with success in my 24g nano saltwater tank.
I also have a heavily planted 46g bowfront, and I'm wondering if Purigen would be a good substitute for carbon. I like the idea of changing it out less in particular
I am currently running a Fluval 304 cannister with sponges, ceramic rings, bioballs, carbon and filter floss and everything is doing fine; I'm just wondering if this would be a good step. The tank is thriving and I have moderate growth without adding anything (except the occasional capful of Flourish). Sounds like it would work fine in a planted tank, but I wanted to check with the experts before I switch to make sure I won't mess anything up. Thanks!
