Purigen Regen Q

So I did the 24 (actualy 32 hour soak in bleach solution)
Purigen whitened up but still had some strange yellow orange on it as well as filter bag

Then I soaked it in a small amount of water with 2 TBS of Prime.
Now it is nice and white.

But I don't have this PH Buffer stuff..

Do I really need to use it?
Can I just use baking soda?

All my tanks have crushed coral in the filters anyways so it is safe to re-use this stuff now?

Distilled water works fine. I keep a jug handy for calibrating my TDS meter and storing pH probes.

I always used a little white viniger to nuetralize the NaOH found in the bleach.

I don't have any Viniger, but I do have some distilled water, would adding baking soda help as well? I hear it raises PH, and heck it neutralizes battery acid as well?

Bleach is a very alkaline substance. Adding more alkalines will get you nowhere. Just rinse the purigen very well and you will likely have no problems considering that you did do the dechlorinator step.
