I was reading this forum about 3 weeks ago and saw a post asking for a snail identification. It was this gorgeous purple snail with pearly stripes around it's shell and I fell instantly in love. I poked around and found that msjinkzd was just about ready to ship some babies, so I ordered some for right after Thanksgiving.
She shipped them Monday, and they arrived today, in perfect health of course. My daughter and I spent a couple of hours acclimating them to the water a bit at a time, and then floated their little container, and finally sank it. They were eating the minute food was offered, so I think they're pretty happy to be 'home.'
Here's a pic of them attacking a hikari algae wafer seconds after I offered it (only one has braved outside of the container I floated them in) with a shrimp coming along to check out the new tankmates. Forgive the picture quality, my three-year-old was tugging on my wrists to see how the pictures were turning out, and kept 'helpfully' putting her magnifying glass in front of the lens so I could "see them better."
