Purple Coraline Algae

Is there a way I can get rid of my purple algae? All my rocks are covered with it which I like but I have to constantly scrape off my walls. I dont mind doing the front and the sides, but the back wall is terrible and I have a hard time with all the rocks in the way. I know it is suppossed to be good for the tank but it make the back wall look like crap.

You could try and get a hold of some astrenia starfish, which eat coralline.

Buy a scraper; I have a Kent Marine scraper with a metal blade and an extra one with a plastic blade. You just need to work at it and it'll come off. Be careful because like plantman1028 said, the stuff you scrape off could land somewhere else and spread it. It’s very hard to get off my back glass, but i just take a little off each week while doing a water change.

I only use Ionic B and sometimes a PH buffer. I'm having to scrape it off my front and side glass every few weeks!! I could be wrong and totally off base but I swear it grows faster under PC lighting that MH.

Well it doesnt like intense lighting, but loves actinic so thats why mh isnt a coraline fav...Anyone ever check the underneath of a rock and have coraline growing out the ying yang there.
