"purple neon tetra"

here is a pic i found. they call it a blue tetra

it looks exactly like a glowlight, only blue instead of red. when i get my 20 gallon set up, could i mix them? have 6 of each?

yeah, they do. and i dont think they're dyed either. they just don't seem dyed. usuallyn its pretty obvious when they are. also none of the websites i've looked it up on mention dying, so i think its pretty safe.

I think you are refering a to Cochus Blue tetra, Very similar yo a glow-lite tetra, with a Blue/purple strip!

I would say that the cochus Blue tetras would not shoal with Glow lites, The Cochus seem to be a little more active than the glow lites and a bit of a mean streak, But I really couldn't say about the Blue Emporer, I think they have a similar temperment as the glow lites!
