Sounds good, by all means, go with what you feel is best. You should be able to use Krylon Fusion paint to make the white go away.

I agree that ABS shouldn't be used in a potable water system. Have not seen any documentation that would negate it's use in aquaria.

I absolutely agree with you on that note...


but given how much time and money we spend to ensure our water is "perfect", I would not use anything not suitable for human consumption in the plumbing.

My logic is that if it isn't good for humans... is it really safe for fish? Not enough research has been done so I err on the side of caution.

Well, here's the prototype. If this looks like a good idea I'll be using it for the final PVC version.
