pvc pipe ornament

That's the one I meant ABS, few years ago ay. Was there any deterioration with the ABS or starnge discoloration, did the cichlids try and eat it? What glue did you use to stack them, ABS glue?

Id like to also create a stacked condo but something either more natural like a tall cliff wall, or something historically familiar like a pyramid. The only thing bad about ABS is I don't think it melts or warps when heated becasue of its high heat requirements. I'm not sure but I think PVC can be deformed around the openings with heat. Maybe I should use PVC, paint it the color of the gravel, then after its glued together before putting on the gravel hit it with a propane torch outside, or light it on fire with gasoline then put it out with the hose at just the right time LOL. Or just carefully use a propane torch and soldering gun to add texture Hmmm? You guys got my mind a going.

the abs does fine in water, no discoloration, and no cichlids tried to eat it,lol, butmy oscar does pick one up and move it, burning it makes a mess, sand also works good instead of gravel, i used ge1 silicone to glue them together, i've also never had a problem with hot glue in a tank before, for texture, why not just cut a piece of abs into small pieces and silicone it on in different places before adding the gravel. also if you rough up the pvc/abs with sandpaper before adding silicone it will last much longer.

Nice project!
