I was thinking of buying a bunch of PVC pipes from home depot to make some pleco caves. The pipes I checked out are all white, but I am thinking of painting it black or dark brown. Does anyone know what paint would be safe for aquarium / fish? One that would work on PVC of course. I don't like big white pvc in my display tank.

Krylon Fusion, but even then I still wouldn't care for the look. Maybe in a holding or grow out tank.

I have seen where people have used some sort of adhesive and rolled the white pvc pieces in sand to cover and it looks cool.

i used a 50mm pvc pipe with two 45 bends on the ends and a T in the middle burried it in the sand with the openings exposed and had an airstone running in it my bristlenoses loved it. couldnt see the pipe so colour didnt matter.
