You can get some aquarium safe silicon and coat the pvc in it, then roll it in some pea gravel. You can also use epoxy for the adhesive, and any other aquarium safe thing you can imagine to "dress it up"

prolly out there on a limb...but Hy ghost loves some large Drain pipe, I guess you could call it sewer pipe, about 6~8 inch Diamiter. it's not stark white and if you can hide it in a corner some where then it wont look as bad,

Then there is the black pvc for formal tanks...actually, pvc cut and/or stacked together are good for spawning some species...bristle nose plecs, some smaller cichlids, etc.
