I just bought a few fish called "mickey mouse platys" and they are much smaller than the other platy fish I have.

The dealer told me they are a strain of Platys that stays much smaller than the regulars.

Does anyone know if this is true or did I just by run of the mill juvenile platys?

Thanks. they are real cute

there are small platy's but I'm not exactly sure where or how they came about. I just have never researched it. we usually keep some in our 55 community and will be trying to breed them here before too long. They are usually called dwarf or coral platy's around here. I have seen the mickey mouse versions but ours are plain orange. they get about 1" long fully grown so you'll find out real soon if they are dwarf's or juveniles. Kyle
