'Python' aquarium cleaning system??

To fill the tank im just gonna buy a length of hose to reach my tap and then obviously the necessary connection..So that solves the problem of filling the tank..

Then for taking the tank water out im just going to attach a longer piece of hose (1m) to my existing gravel filter and put the end of it out my window which is beside the tank... The water being taken out will run down the roof into the gutter...

This is basically how I drain my tank with my DIY Python, out the window and into my yard. Then I fill by hooking the tube up to my faucet with a metal connector and go from there.

I made my Python very cheaply: $7 for a 50' piece of 1/2" tubing, $5 for a metal connector from my facet to a hose, $3 for a thing that turns a hose thread into something that connects into tubing, and a gravel vac I had laying around. $15 for a brand new DIY 50' Python.
