I cant find pythons in the uk which annoys me, The Aqueon Aquarium Water Changer is available but i dont have a mixer tap..... what can i do? thanks

There are other brands that are nearly identical. Or you could purchase a waterbed fill/drain kit and a hose.
As to the separate taps, one option would be some plumbing and perhaps a new sink. Another possibility is the shower. Some people just unscrew the shower head for water changes. Some have plumped in a T and a diverter valve.

You have two independent taps, one for hot and one for cold going to the sink, instead of a single one that has hot & cold going to it? You would probably have to DIY some type of removable connection with the help of folks at your hardware store.

"Mixer tap " in the UK means a tap (faucet) with one spout. Individual hot and cold taps are still pretty common.

Any hardware place should have a setup to use a hand shower with individual taps. Probably find it on the market, discount store or try B&"koo" (as they say in Norfolk) , Homebase, DIY etc. Just saw some a few weeks ago. I imagine you could bodge that into a water changer with some added hose...or at least make a filler.

If you could order just the valve (main unit) from the python or aqueon, the rest appear to be all common parts; you could engineer a system specifically for your house.

I use a powerhead and a hose to the toilet to drain. To fill I have a hose wye-d from the laundry taps...we have hot and cold laundry taps, you may only have cold.

The shower head idea works for me. Going to have to find out where to buy them from now without crazy shipping costs! Any suggestions?

Bought an aqueon for far too much in a
America.... Such a timesaver that I feel it's ok) should arrive this year haha
