python parts break easy?

that plastic adaptor is just too weird.

but i can see why other parts are plastic, though. during the water change, it would be pretty dangerous to have metal hose connectors clanging on your glass tank while you're swiggling the tube around during cleaning. now for the shut-off valve, a metal counterpart would be sweet.
 
I've had my Python for almost a year and it worked great until I stepped on the gravel tube and broke it completely off. Still works great for refilling tanks!
 
I too had problems with the faucet connector on my python and have had to replace parts due to stripping the plastic etc.. Just for your information, I was shopping at Wallmart one day and by coincidence I came across the exact same faucet connector that is used on pythons except they were selling them for water beds. The great thing about this is that they were selling the pieces for like 1/4 of the price they are sold for in LFS's.
