Python question

Just unscrew the bathroom faucet end off counterclockwise (Lefty-Lucy) and carefully screw on the plastic adapter clockwise (Righty-Tighty) without cross threading. If it seem like it wont go make sure you removed the thick black washer that sometimes remains inside the faucet. Tighten the adapter on hand snug like resealing liter soda bottle cap, not do a red faced vain popping over tighten as you strip the plastic threads.

After starting the Python in drain mode to suck water out of the tank and you can hear no more air coming out of the line, pinch the hose near the faucet, shut the water off, unscrew the hose without letting the water drain back, and set the hose inside the bathtub so it can train the tank using natural siphon instead of wasting 3 times the water using the python only. Then reconnect to the faucet fill back up in the fill mode.

check the faucet to see if the aerator is removable. some mass produced faucets for bathrooms may not have a removable aerator.

then check threads to see if it is 'standard' some are metric or different (imagine that some faucet companies wanted to be different.)

do not force the adapter on to the faucet.

if it does not easily thread on take it and your adapter that came with the python to the hardware store.
a clerk there can probably set you up.
