i just bought floating type of hikari gold cichlid food and my rd doesnt know its there? what do i do?

feed frozen foods he is probably ignoring the regular fare foods

Either he's ignoring it, or he'll find it.

if your RD has got used to another food it will just be expecting that. i wouldnt worry keep trying a little bit at a time when he gets hungry he will find it. do you feed at the same time every day? if youn do that could help as the fish will know when you are approaching food is also coming.

how big is the RD it kinda concerns me that he will not even take an exploratory bite of food as this is their nature to gobble food stuffs up.

hes about 3mos
and he doesnt always come to the top...ill keep trying it
