When moving a fish from a quarantine tank back to the main tank, do you just net the fish and put it back in the main tank or do you acclimate the fish to the main tank as you would a fish brought home from the lfs? Thanks.

Check your temp on both tanks. Your water Params should be the same So i wouldnt worry to much about Acclimating

you could do a water change on the qt and add back water from your main tank if you are concerned...i have done this in the past to help with acclimation from tank to tank.

That's sort of what I did when setting up the quaranteen tank. Since the qt tank was new and not cycled, I filled it with water from the main tank, along with filter media and a piece of decor from the main tank. Worked out pretty well. Params are good.

I am kind of concerned about putting the angelfish in the qt back in the main fish tank which now has two larger angels in it. I plan to add a few more angels to spread out any agression, but I don't know when that will be since none are available locally at this time. I would like to add them asap. Would you put the smaller angelfish in the main tank now or do a big water change in the qt and leave it there until the other angels are available?

test your water in both tanks. as long as the temp is within 2-3 degrees of the same, and your pH is within .2 of the same between the tanks, i would just transfer the fish and watch closely for a day. any differences greater than those would cause me to want to acclimate fully, as if introducing the fish for the first time.

Shouldn't be an issue as noted, but I would do water changes on the QT in small amounts, bringing in water from the main tank, especially if you used meds in the QT.
