Quarantine Tank - Medicine recommendations

I'm setting up a quarantine tank for a pecula that seems to have a parasite on the side of its mouth.

I'm not really sure what to do, but I've taken water from the main tank to put in the quarantine tank. What medicine should I use? The LFS has CLOUT. Is it safe for a pecula????

Please describe the parasite.
Some othe bigger isopod parasites are downright hard to get rid of so a good id is essential

I'm not sure what is wrong with the pecula. He has a raised pink area about 1mm long between his mouth and eye. It looks like a pink string. His behavior is strange. He keeps rubbing his head again things then swiftly swims away.....like he's trying to rub it off.

I've never had a sick fish so I'm at a lost. The CLOUT says to not use it on fish without scales. Do peculas have scales?

I can order anything I need from the LFS and have it tomorrow if I get it ordered by 3:00. Advice is needed!!!!!

I wish I could help on the diagnosis. Clowns do have scales.

What type of meds have you used?

I used copper for cryptocaryon about 4 years ago. Otherwise, I haven't had to medicate. From what I've read, the treatment will vary according to the parasite. With copepods and some flukes, you can physically remove them, and swab the wound with a disinfectant like Lugol's solution.

It sounds like some kind of fluke , nematode or anchor worm? Clout will be a pretty good start.

I took him out of the tank yesterday and looked him over with the magnifying glass. This sound horrible but... he looks like a fish that's been hooked after the hook has be taken out. He has an open sore. I could not see anything in it or on him. I'm back to wondering if it's a wound from the emerald crab. It looks larger than before. He's now acting sickly. He would not come to the surface to eat last night or this morning.

Last night I expected to come home and find him dead; instead he was much more active and came to the surface to eat.

Here's my next hypothesis........
He is again brushing up to the corals and swimming off. Could he be getting stung by the corals??????? Except for the swimming off part, his behavior is similar to a pecula with an anemone.

I am totally dumbfounded.

He is being placed in the quarantine tank tonight. Last night he was too active for me to catch.
