How big does everyone have for their quarintine tank

Do you do the rubbermaid with holes cut in the top for a filter and a ceramic plate for the heater to go on or do you have another glass or acyrilic tank

Personally I would use the standard 10gl tank. It's cheap and easy to manage.

Possibly, if not free at a garage sale. But with glass, I can see through it.

Well I mean the clear rubbermaids, but ya i guess those are harder to see through than glass which is better if you are trying to keep a close eye on a sick fish

Plus with a glass tank, you don't have to worry about melting the plastic with a heater, or bowing and cracking. I've used rubbermaids for fish and turtles, and I'm using one for a sump now, but they're not really made to be full of water. You can get a 10gal tank for 10 bucks brand new at walmart, to me its worth an extra 5 bucks for the security.

Ok ill just get one at walmart, but that leaves me with another question, covers
Is it better to get the kit for 30 bucks with the lit cover with a space for the filter and heater or to get just a screen top and cut holes for air pump tubing and have an undergravel filter and a fully submersable heater

you shouldn't worry too much about lighting. sick fish like it dark to minimize stress. but yes, you do need a heater still. I reccomend a sponge filter for QT tanks, as undergravel filters need gravel to work and I don' keep gravel in my QT tank.

I don't use one, but you can use screening.
