I love acei, they are such neat fish
I think red zebras get a bad rap. I know of many people that have kept them without any deaths, it's just the ones that go crazy you seem to hear about. I don't concider them to be nearly as aggressive as Melanochromis auratus or Pseudotropheus socolofi (which are other known "killers"). I actually consider them to be one of the less aggressive species (not as peaceful as labs or acei obviously). I have a red zebra and she doesn't do anything besides some chasing. And that's the end of my soapbox lol.
For plecos, bristlenose seems to be the way to go.
