Hi...
Sorry for all the questions, but....I have another one. I got a 55 gallon tank complete set with the filter & heater. My question it came with a Aqua-Tech Power Filter would it be the only one I would need or would I need two of them? I'm Sorry for all the questions.

Again Thanks,

I got the same kit for chistmas! IMO it will need an additional filter. I plan on getting a canister filter to suppliment eventually.

What size/model of aqua tech...?

Size & Model ??

I really don't know, it came in a kit, all I can see is it's a Aqua-Tech Power Filter Model 30-60 and it uses a EZ-Change #3 Cartridge (Aqua-Tech), and has a 200 watt aquarium heater. I don't if the Model 30-60 tells you anything or not.

Thanks,

I have 2 55 gallon kits which came with double hob filter and I've adde 1 small filter to each. Not only to clean the water but to have the water moving evenly on the surface.

I would add another HOB or canaster, one on each end.....:)

I think you need one more filter to supplement the AC. Not that it's bad (far from it), but that it's about barely adequate for the tank you have. I'd suggest a Filstar XP-3 cannister. The two would work together quite well.

well i also have one for christams, i am only using one but planning on getting one more, cuase it's too weaks.imo
but it's best to get the secon ne

Yes, get a second one...it is barely adequate for your tank, IMO. I would suggest getting a canister.

Rena Xp2 would be perfect for your new 55 setup :)
