Question about Blood Parrots?

I was thinking about putting Blood Parrots in my 45 gal tank, but I don't know too much about them. I've researched online and found a lot of different info.

Here's my setup:

• black aquarium sand (can't remember the brand but I know it's safe for freshwater)
• plenty of artificial plants in the back, butthere's stilla lot of swimming space
• 2 medium size rocks
• 1 piece of driftwood

I've been cycling the tank for 5 weeks with some danios (they will be taken out after cycling)

Is my setup okay for Blood Parrots? Do they need more rocks?

How many blood parrots are you planning to get? Stick to only one.

The 45g is too small for 3 8-inches blood parrots in my opinion.

i have 2 bloodparrots in a 30 gal with gravel in it with an artifical coral cave. they like to dig and make sure they have some caves to hide in. good luck

it depends where you put the plants. dont put them near the caves.
