i got a 29g tank, i just tested the water and its fine. i have had my corys for a long time (a few of them ive had for about a year)
but just latey some of them are losing there fins. is this just a problem b/c there getting old or is there some way to help them out? thanks

do you have any nippy fish in the tank, like tiger barbs, black skirt tetras... those are the only two that come to mind... anyway they may be nipping at your cories.

My guess is fin rot/bacterial rot. It happens from time to time with cories, even when the water parameters are seemingly okay.

Do more frequent water changes and I'd add something like Maracyn Plus or Melafix to the tank. If left unchecked it can devour all of the fins, as well as the supporting "rays" of the fin, at which point the fins will not be able to regenerate.

Cories are also hurt by high levels of nitrates, not just ammonia. MOre frequent water changes should definatley help.
