Question about DIY rocks

I wonder if there is anyway to make a cold salt water tank. I thought I read somewhere that you can, but I don't think I know how.

You can, but you'll need to buy a chiller to maintain water temps like that.

Back to the original discussion - if you use pasta to create holes in teh liverock, how do you get it out? Does it just kind of break down during the curing process once you start soaking the rock?

I've read that people have started using the rubber pieces from stress balls vs pasta simply due to the fact you can pull those out.. (supposedly).. I haven't tried making rock yet, but am getting ready to do so.. Its the curing process that is going to kill me.. There is one lady on RC who had done a whole study on the best ways to create rock..
