Question about Kuhli Loaches

If I put a sand substrate in my tank would the kuhli loaches stir the sand enough that I wouldn't have to worry about doing it once a week? I like the looks of them and was looking for another bottom dweller and if they have the added bonus of stirring the sand then I will add them to my 55 setup. Thanks in advance.

Depends on how deep the sand is, in my experience. My sand is 1-1 1/2 inches, and they don't go nearly deep enough to stir it. If you had less than 1/2 inch, it might be okay. Still better to stir it up though.

I have pool sand & my kuhlis don't dig at all, just some tummy tracks.

I have nine in my tank and they don't mess with the sand at all. No digging. I'd love it if they did...but I have MTS for that I guess.
